The external windows and doors were replaced with white powder coated thermal aluminium products. Tilt and turn windows with Georgian bar inserts were installed to closely match existing timber box sash windows.

The finished installation provided a vast improvement in thermal efficiency and noise reduction as well as safe ventilation for children (locking handles in tilt position only) and allowed for cleaning from the inside. A number of large curved windows were also installed as part of the contract, along with two large bi-folding doors for roof top access.
